your regular host, the estimable james, is tromping through the yorkshire dales for his holiday. he must have been really desperate for guest hosts for the peasoupfiasco, because he has asked me, ian, to make a guest contribution to his site. my home is mustardking.ca, where you can find photos and stories about my dual life between canada and cambridge, and my obsession with mustard.
this photo was taken in budapest, hungary, last august. the thing i like best about this photo is that at the time i took it, hélène and i were sitting at the side of the danube river with a couple of beers watching the sun set. it was a beautiful scene. as i mentioned on my site yesterday, however, i have a terrible memory. i’m hoping photos like this can help me avoid future incidents when hélène wistfully says something like “remember that night we watched the sun set over the danube in budapest” and i reply “...sunset in budapest?”
