Nationalistic (in)sensibilities

Following Thursday's post, I've decided to do a week of images from our last Easter holiday in the Derbyshire Peaks, in preparation for our imminent trip to the Yorkshire Dales!

This is my bro, standing on Curbar Edge, in his England rugby top. Some of the hiking around the Peak District is outstandingly beautiful.

Last Saturday night my brother got assaulted for wearing this top in a pub in Cardiff (Wales), while watching the England vs. France match in the 6 nations.

Two Welsh blokes beat him up, and hosptialised his female housemate Hannah, just for wearing an England shirt. And when they told the security staff at the pub what had happened, my brother and Hannah were thrown out because the perpetrators were "friends of the owner"! Can you believe that?!

Now the fuzz (aka police) are involved and I hope the guys that did it get caught. Get well soon, guys. Click "more" for my rant:
